Style Merchants
The Herald Building sits right in the heart of the oldest part of Glasgow. More than eight centuries ago the site would have been a main thoroughfare for drovers of cattle and sheep. These days it still has its fair share of traders, although admittedly not so much livestock. In the last ten years the city centre has become the home of all things chic, and is now host to international names like Armani, Versace, Ralph Lauren and the finest home-grown outlets like Niche Optical Tailors and Orro Contemporary Jewellery. There's a wealth of retailers, restaurants, bars, cafés, boutiques, pubs and clubs, offering everything from fresh sushi to designer clothing, from all-night entertainment to mellow Sunday afternoons. But there's one thing they all offer - style.
